Office building. 1870, by W Botterill. Yellow brick with
ashlar dressings. Roof not visible. Plinth, moulded
dentillated cornice with end pedestals and ball finials. 2
storeys; 3-window range of segment-headed plain sashes with
scroll keystones and corbelled sills with cast-iron guards.
Above, a linked hoodmould and short enriched pilasters on
corbels. Below, ashlar doorcase with panelled pilasters with
foliate capitals, are enriched segmental pediment. Panelled
door with overlight. Above the door, a moulded round-arched
window opening with an oval finial. To left, 2 plain sashes
with moulded surrounds and enriched keystones under a common
cornice with 2 oval finials. Common corbelled sill with
cast-iron window guards. Below, segment-arched opening to
cellar.
