BURGH HALL ROAD
TM 25 SW
2/62 Nos 1 and 2 Frogmore
Cottages
II
Pair of cottages. C17 or early C18 altered in the early C19 and added to
in the C20. Timber framed, colourwashed and rendered with a thatched
roof. Single storey with attic. Entrance front: two 3-bay cottages, near-
symmetrically ordered, each having a 1/2-glazed doorway, to either side of
which are metal-framed C20 casements. To the attic each cottage has a 2-
light gabled dormer, that at right being to left of centre of that cottage,
that at left being at far right of its cottage. To the ridge of the 1/2-
hipped roof the left hand cottage has a cross-axial stack of 2 flues and
the right hand cottage has an axial stack of two flues. The left hand end
has a lean-to addition with a stable door at far right and a 2-light window
at left. Right hand gable end: 1/2-glazed doorway to right of centre and a
window of 3 casement lights at first floor level.

Interior: not inspected. It is probable that the building is one C17 or
early C18 house subdivided into 2 cottages early in the C19.
