CORSHAM HIGH STREET ST 8770 (west side) 5/222 Nos 71 and 73 (formerly listed as separate items and No 71 as Weaver's Cottage) GV II
House, C17 or earlier, rubble stone with stone tiled roofs. One and a half to 2 storeys. Main range to left has ridge and south end stacks, 2 dormer gables and recessed chamfered mullion windows, two 3-lights to gables, two 3-lights with hoodmoulds below and central plank door with timber lintel over. To right, No 73, projecting wing with roof hipped at south-east angle and stack on east roof slope. East end wall has 2-light timber mullion window to first floor, 3-light casement to ground floor. South return has heavy timber lintel over C20 casement, formerly a door. Behind main range, a rear wing with south side chimney gable and west end first floor 2-light ovolo-moulded window with hoodmould. To right of wing, door to through passage and C20 three-light window with hoodmould. South end stone Tudor-arched fireplace. Central timber-lintel large fireplace.
