Details
CORSHAM HIGH STREET ST 8770 (west side) 5/224 No 77 GV II
House, probably later C18 on earlier core, altered in C19 and C20. Rendered rubble stone with Bridgwater tile roof, coped gables and south end stacks. East front has moulded cornice and blank storey over, two C20 close-spaced 16-pane sashes to first floor, central C20 door and C20 sixteen-pane sash each side. All sashes have painted softwood surrounds and hoodmoulds. Old photographs show shop front to right of door and all windows without moulding. Rubble stone north gable end has attic 3-light recessed cyma- moulded window with hoodmould. Rear wall is rubble stone to left, ashlar to right with C19 cast-iron segment-headed windows to attic dormer and ground floor.
