GV II
House. C17, remodelled with early C18 bay to left. Roughcast over original timber frame; square framing exposed to rear; thatched roof, brick stacks. Original 2-unit lobby entry plan extended to 3 units in early C18 2-storey, 3-window range. C18 plank door in heavy frame. C20 casements with C19 moulded architraves, except one 3-light leaded casement to top left; half-hipped roof, ridge stack. Interior: early C18 plank doors with fittings, door next to fireplace has graffito John Bowle 1730. Full set of chamfered and stopped beams to right and left. Painted prayer with c.1725 inscription on left side of wall dividing left from central rooms. Original straight flight stairs adjoin rear of stack. Roof not visible. Late C20 flat-roofed extension to rear right, and attached C20 lean-to garage to left.
