CORSHAM LANES END, Gastard ST 86 NE 3/246 Church of St. John the Baptist II

Anglican Parish Church, 1912 by C.E. Ponting, coursed rubble stone with stone-tiled roof. West tower. Nave and chancel under continuous roof with coped east gable and cross finial. Free Perpendicular Gothic. Squat 2-stage west tower with flush quoins, pointed arched west door, dripcourse at bell-stage with 3-light segmental-pointed west window above with hoodmould. Upper dripcourse under parapet, slightly gabled to west and east. Outside stairs on south side to bell-chamber. Nave has four 2- light flat-headed windows divided by flat buttresses. Moulded eaves between buttresses. Chancel is narrower, with taller walls, one 3-light north window, 3-light pointed east window and south side porch projected beyond nave wall with roof continued down over. Interior not inspected.
