Details
LACOCK CHURCH STREET ST 9168 (north side) 4/47 Nos 11 and 12 20.12.60 GV II
House, C18 refronting of earlier range, ashlar with half-hipped stone slate roof. Double-fronted with flush chamfered mullion windows, two 3-light above, 2-light and 3-light below, both with dripstones. Door to left of centre in cyma-moulded flush surround. Moulded eaves cornice. Below cornice in a band interrupted for upper windows is row of unusual pilaster capitals, 6½ in all, with reversed scrolls of C17 Baroque type, said to have been introduced c1900 during repairs and to have come from Bowden Park (q.v.). North-east rear corner stack. Rear wing with ridge stack and one window range of 3-light similar mullion windows on east wall. Some timber-framing exposed in end gable north-west corner. No 12, beyond, is 1½ storeys with Bridgwater tiles. Two sloping dormers, ground floor casements and door to right. East side stack.
