1900 by Silcox and Ray of Bath. Queen Anne Revival. Red brick with stone dressings.
The street front has a recessed central gable with lower flanking projecting pavilions
having semicircular stone porch hoods on Ionic columns and semi-circular fanlights
(with glazing bars). The pavilions have flanking windows with glazing bar sashes
and moulded architraves; balustrade over cornice. Main gable has modillion verge
cornice and cornice to ground floor through which the round head of the main Venetian
window breaks (this part with Gibbs surround). The Venetian window has Doric
columns. Below is a large cartouche inscribed: "This stone was laid by Sir Roger
Brown April 28th 1900". Pretty pepperpot belfry in centre of tiled roof.
