- II
House. C16 or C17. Timber framed with colourwashed render and thatched
roof. Two storeys. Entrance front: close-studded walling. lean-to at
right with a C20 recessed porch and C20 door with moulded muntins. To left
of this, at ground floor level are a 3-light, two 2-light and, at far left
a 2-light window with chamfered mullions. The first floor has a 3-light
window at right and a 2-light window at left. Ridge chimney stack at left.
Lean-to to left hand side. Right hand side: lean-to porchway at left and
to the gable close-studding with the date 1541. Further projecting range
at right of this with C17 windows with moulded mullions and surrounds.
Rear: projecting wing at left. C19 and C20 fenestration to right of this.
Interior: chamfered ceiling beams and close studding to ground and first
floor rooms with jowled wall posts and cambered tiebeams.
