GV II

House. C17, remodelled and extended to right in early C18 and with late C19 bay to left. Roughcast over original timber frame; early C18 Flemish bond brick with flared headers above and to right of door; old tile roof; brick stacks. T-plan. 2 storeys and attic to left; 2 storeys to right. Brackets to pediment over 6-panelled door with fanlight. Segmental header arches over C18 four-light leaded casement and C20 one-light casement to right. Two C18 two- and 3-light leaded casements over late C19 three-light casement, and similar late C19 casements, to left of door. Late C19 three-storey bay to left. Gabled roof; ridge stack. Early C18 two-storey wing to rear of Flemish bond brick with tile-hung gable end, gabled old tile roof, brick lateral stack, C18 sashes and storey band. Interior: Room to left has chamfered and stopped beam, panelled dado, and early C18 quarter-turn and open-string staircase to rear left, with 3 turned balusters to each tread, wreathed handrail and panelled dado. Jamb of rebuilt fireplace to left has reset datestone with "P.R.M. 1684". First floor and attic not inspected but likely to be of interest.
