5/40 Kelsale Lodge (Previously listed 25.10.51 under Dorley's Corner) GV II
Farmhouse. Core probably C16, remodelled mid C18, mid C20 extension to east. Double pile plan. Red brick with timber framed core; pantiled roof. 2 storeys and basement. 5 window range, 2:1:2, sashes with glazing bars in flush frames, segmental arches, the centre window larger and semi-circular headed; doorway with 6-panel raised and fielded door, fluted pilasters, pediment with keystone; bracketed wooden eaves cornice. Interior with good C18 staircase with turned balusters; some oak panelling in one ground floor room.
