2. Circa 1868-70. Probably by William Smith the local architect. 2 storey, angled elevation. Diluted Gothick style. ? large gables flanking smaller gable with weatherboard over entrance. Roughfaced rubble with projecting plinth quoins and chamfered string over ground floor. Central 1st floor window in square gabled ashlar oriel over doorway. 3 pointed windows on 1st floor. 2 lights with roundel above. Two 3 light windows on ground floor with shouldered lintels. Doorway flanked by 2 narrow similar lights on corners of angle. Pointed doorway flanked by engaged columns on high bases to brackets supporting oriel.

Nos 4 to 6 (consec) and Nos 8 to 18 (consec) York Buildings, form a group with gates to St Thomas's Church, No 19 The Vicarage and 2 lamp standards to north west and south west, Nos 4 to 6 (consec) and Nos 8 to 18 (consec) being buildings of local interest.
