GV II
Farmhouse. Late C17, altered and additions c1800. Dressed limestone, hipped 2-span tiled roof with axial brick stack to rear range and gable end brick stacks to front range. Two parallel ranges. Two-storey, 3-window south front. Central 6-panelled door in C20 porch, 16-pane sash either side. First floor has three 12- pane sashes. Attached to right return is single-storey addition of c1920, in ashlar with sashes, right return of rear range has half- glazed door and 12-pane sash, first floor has 6-pane sash and 4- pane fixed window. Left return has 6-panelled door in timber porch, 2-light casement to right and 16-pane sash to left with straight joint between two ranges, first floor has two 6-pane sashes. Rear has casements and sashes, former baffle entry to rear range within single-storey extension, rear courtyard enclosed by single-storey C19 outbuildings. Interior not accessible at time of survey (April 1986), but said to contain window shutters, 6- panelled doors and C19 fittings. This manor was part of the demesne of Shaftesbury Abbey.
