CORSHAM WADSWICK LANE ST 86 NE Neston 3/384 Pits Farmhouse II
Farmhouse, now 2 cottages, early C17, rubble stone with concrete- tiled roof, hipped to south, coped gable to north with end stack. Axial stack on roof hip. Two storeys and attic. East front has 2 hipped dormers, one on roof slope, one, to right, at eaves. Recessed chamfered mullion windows, two 2-light and two 3-light to first floor. Ground floor long casements under catslide roof to left, blocked door, buttress, door with stone hood and, to right, two 3-light windows with hoodmoulds, one with relieving arch, flanking door with hoodmould. Rear has similar mullion windows, to left 3-light over 2-light, then projecting gable with ovolo-moulded windows, then central 3-light window with stepped buttress to right and projecting gabled stair tower with 3-light window. Ground floor to right projects under catslide roof. Door and 3-light ovolo-moulded window. Interior: heavy beamed 6-panel ceiling, Tudor-arched door to rear of through passage, stair with flat balusters and scratch moulded newels, first floor cupboard with butterfly hinges.
