GV II
House. C17, with early C18 extension to left. Coursed rubble limestone with
stone slate roof and C20 brick chimney shafts. Tall 2-store C17 block to right
has one and a half large bays, with additional stair bay slightly projecting to
left. Lower 2-storey C18 wing with 2 narrow bays to left. Tall block has
hollow-chamfered stone mullion windows with Tudor hoodmoulds, 4-light to ground
floor right, 3-light above, and 2-light over door to left. Similar 2-light
windows to stair projection. Door is C19, with flush panels and C17
ovolo-moulded wooden lintel. Steep roof, hipped over stair projection, with
flanking chimneys. Lower wing to left has later 3-light window with chamfered
stone mullions and no hoodmould to ground floor right, and C20 2-light wooden
casement to left over C20 half-glazed door.
