GV II
House. Datestone 1717 in right gable wall. Flemish bond brick with flared headers; gabled stone slate roof; brick symmetrical end stacks. 2-unit plan. 2 storeys; symmetrical 5-window range. Gauged brick flat arch and C20 flat hood over central C20 door. Similar arches over C20 two-light casements. Cyma-molded string course; moulded wood cornice. Late C20 extensions to rear. Interior: remodelled in C20. Chamfered beams: timber-framed partition right of entry. Built for the Ashcombe family who built The Alms Court (q.v.).
