BLEWBURY CHAPEL LANE SU5385 (West side) 16/9 Cleeve Cottage and attached 24/11/66 cob wall (Formerly listed as Cleeve Cottage) GV II House. c16, with probably early C17 two-bay addition to right. Large timber-framing with rendered infill, having arched braces to first floor centre; small timber-framing with painted brick and rendered infill to right; thatch hipped roof; brick ridge stack to centre. Probably originally hall house plan. 2-storey. 5-bay, 4-window range. C20 stable door to left of centre. Irregular fenestration of casements with leaded lights, except C17 wood oriel window to first floor centre. C18 cross-wing to left: timber-framing with painted infill; old plain-tile roof; brick ridge stack. Single storey and attic; single-bay range. Interior not inspected, but likely to be of interest. Attached C18 wall to rear right forming boundary to garden. Cob with thatch coping. Approximately 55 metres long and 2 metres high.
