II
Large detached house. Dated 1888 on plaque to right return. For the Foster family (probably John Foster junior). Hammer-dressed stone with ashlar dressings. Green slate roof. Rectangular plan. Vernacular revival style.

Two storeys and attic. Three-bay asymmetrical but ordered facade. The right bay breaks forward slightly and has a two-storey canted bay with parapet and six-light mullioned and transomed windows. The left bay has a two-storey square bay with shaped parapet and ten-light mullioned and transomed windows. Between is a single-storey open porch with wide round-arched opening with arcaded balustrade over. The doorway within has moulded surround, cambered head and carved spandrels. Moulded first-floor band. To first floor is a central eight-light mullioned and transomed window, and above this is a small wooden gabled dormer. Outer bays are gabled with copings and side parapets and each has a three-light attic window. To left gable apex is a sunflower motif, and to right an ear of corn. The rear elevation has central twelve-light mullioned and transomed staircase window. Two-storey wing to the left. Flat-roofed extension to the right, possibly later. The left and right elevations have mullioned windows of up to six-lights, some transomed. The sunflower and corn motifs are repeated in the gable apexes. Tall ashlar stacks with moulded caps.

Interior: large entrance hall with dog-leg stair at rear with ramped, moulded handrail and turned balusters. Six-panel doors.
