Estate farmhouse, dated 1871 on rainwaterheads, built for T. H. A.
Poynder of Hartham Park. Squared rockfaced stone with stone tiled
roofs, coped gables and elaborate ashlar stacks to west end wall and
ridges of east and north ranges. 2-storeys and attic, square plan.
Corbelled eaves, chamfer mullion windows. South front with central
dormer gable, 3-window range of cross-windows with relieving arches
to first floor, pair of cross-windows, gabled porch with shallow
pointed arch and inner door with overlight and cross window to
ground floor. One window range to east gable end, east wing gabled
to north with carved plaque T. H. A. P. 1871 and north wing,
parallel to front, gabled to west at north west angle, single-
storey small U-plan service court with half-hipped south entrance
arch and gabled north east building with pyramidal roofed louvre
and 1871 dated weathervane. An unusually elaborate Victorian
estate farmhouse.
