Former farmhouse and adjoining barn, now all residential. Late C17 with later
alterations. Brick with stone dressings, slate roof. 2-
storey house of 4 bays; barn of 3 bays. Weathered stone
base and stone quoins; buttresses. South facade has C19 3-
light mullioned windows to 1st 3 bays, one window has cut-brick flat arch, 4th bay has projecting 4-light window with
transom and weathered head, cogged brick band over. Left
return has projecting ground-floor window and 1st-floor
window with flat arch. 2 cross-axial stacks. 2nd bay
entrance in glazed porch. Barn has ventilation slots and
central blocked entrance. Roof burnt (1985), remaining
collar and strut trusses with wind braces and through
purlins. Right return has entrance with gauged-brick
elliptical arch. Rear has pigsties to 1st bay of barn,
with lean-to roof; window above has cambered head and stone
quoins. 2nd bay has entrance with relieving arch. 3rd bay
has segmental-headed entrance with stone surround, now
blocked, with later outshut. Rear of house has casements,
and C19 wing of no special interest. Interior of barn
extended over ground floor of 4th bay of house.
