8/215 Belham Hayes
GV II House. Early C18, with late C18-early C19 flanking extensions, refurbished 1930s. Coursed rubble limestone with stone slate roofs and rubble stone ridge chimneys flanking original bays. 2 storeys and attic, 2 original bays. C20 leaded casements with wooden lintels, the ground floor with 3 2-light windows, the first floor with 3-light window to left and 2-light to right. Gabled roof dormers with smaller 2-light casements of similar type. Off-centre C19, 6-panelled door with topliqhts, in C20 gabled stone porch. To left is a later C18 bay with matching 2-light windows, and 3-pane sash in rear wall. Lower bay, also with 2-light windows, is slightly set back to right. Interior has stop-chamfered spine beam in right bay of early C18 part, and similar lintel over fireplace. Old wooden winder staircase on axis with stack.
