Details
MILTON HIGH STREET SU4892 (East side) Milbrook House School House 8/154 - II Farmhouse, now school. Probably late C16, encased C18, with C19 alterations. Red brick with some flared headers old plain-tile roof, half-hipped to right brick ridge stack to right of centre, end stack to left: 2 storeys and attic; 3-windows range, 6-panel part-glazed door to left with painted wood architrave surround and flat wood on brackets. 4-light casements to ground floor centre and right, with segmental brick heads 3-light casements to first floor centre and right, with segmental brick heads. 2-light casement to first floor left with segmental brick head. Brick dentil course to eaves. Hipped dormers to left and right with 3-light horizontal sliding sashes. C18 addition to left, Red brick; old plain-tile roof, half-hipped to left. 2-storey, single-bay addition. 4-light casement to ground floor, 3-light casement to first floor, both with segmental brick heads. Interior: Queen-strut roof. Early C19 straight-flight staircase which divides at half landing into 2 flights. C18 2-panel doors to some rooms and C18 fielded panels to part of stair-well. Chamfered spine beams to ground floor.
