SP4635 ADDERBURY MANOR ROAD (South side) Adderbury West 6/84 Lockes Cottage 08/12/55 (Formerly listed as Cottage approx. 150 yds W of Manor House)
II House. C17, possibly partly earlier. Coursed squared marlstone and random rubble with some ashlar dressings; concrete plain-tile roof with rebuilt brick stacks. 2-unit plan in 2 builds plus subsidiary bay. 2 storeys plus attic and one storey plus attic. 3-window front of main range has a central doorway below a small window plus, to right, a 3-light stone-mullioned window above a 4-light mullioned window, both with labels, and to left in earlier rubble walling, a casement above a 3-light mullioned window with label; lower bay to extreme left has a secondary entrance and casements. Right gable wall has a small stone-mullioned window with a flat hood, and has a larger 2-light mullioned window with label in the gable. Rear of right bay has a further 2-light mullioned window at first floor; other rear windows have old leaded casements with wooden lintels. Interior not inspected.
