House. Dated 1632. Thought to have been built for John Dixon. Rendered walls. Stone slate roof. Cross-passage plan. Two storeys, 4 bays. Central porch with recent door containing stone seat. The inner doorway is Tudor-arched and has studded door. To right is a 6-light windows with king-mullion and a 2-light window, both double-chamfered and with hoodmould. Between them is an inserted C19 window. To the left is a later or altered window and a 5-light double-chamfered window, both with hoodmould. To the far left is the Tudor-arched entrance to a through-passage. To lst-floor double-chamfered windows of 3, 4, 3 and 4 lights, and central Tudor-arched taking-in door. Hollow-chamfered gable copings to right on moulded kneeler with shaped finial. Central stack. The rear of the house projects to left and has double-chamfered windows to both floors of 2, 3 and 4 lights. To the extreme right is a Tudor-arched entrance to the through-passage. The right gable has a large projecting chimney breast narrowing to a broad gable stack: To the right of this is an entrance with a tablet over which reads: " I D AN O DOM 1632 "
Interior: Cross-passage runs behind the central chimney breast which has a broad, arched fireplace to the left room. Good C17 oak panelling to the two rooms on right, each of which has a broad, arched fireplace in right gable, the rear room with small fire window. Entrance in right gable has a stone baffle screen. More fireplaces and panelling upstairs.
