GV II
House at end of street row. Early C19. Coursed squared rubble, pantile roof. Two storeys, 2 windows, symmetrical front with at ground floor two good 28-pane based shop display windows to lead flats and over stone stall risers, flanking C20 part-glazed door; first floor has two 16-pane sashes set to front wall plane, wood lintels; blocked centre opening, former window. Two brick gable stacks. Gable return to Pennybank Lane; beyond this a deep wing, not of special interest. This was formerly a bakery and grocer's shop. The fine bow windows do not retain original glass. Probably built as a pair with Potters Croft (q.v.).
