Public house. C17, with later alterations including replacement of mullioned
window with casements. Regular coursed ironstone rubble. Steeply pitched Welsh
slate roof, brick end stack to left on rendered stone base, brick lateral stack,
stone coping to right. 3-unit plan. Single-storey plus attic; 3-window range.
Central entrance has renewed wood surround and original chamfered lintel. C20
door. Entrance is flanked by gabled, 2-storey canted bay windows. Bay window to
right retains part of stone mullions, rest inserted casements. Fragmentary
remains of hood mould. Bay window to left has casements and fragmentary remains
of hood mould. Casement windows to attic floor, some with wrought-iron casement
fasteners. 3-light wood-mullioned window between the bays. Blocked dormer
windows in gables. Interior: chamfered beams on ground floor.
