Newall Carr Road 1. 1480 (West Side) Yew Tree Public House (Formerly listed as Yew Tree Cottage) SE 14 NE 7/46 30.7.51. II 2. Formerly an attractive block of buildings of C17 and C18 with yew tree, now partly demolished and much altered. Left-hand portion is totally modern, of 1 storey in stone with stone-coped gables with kneelers and 1 2-light and 1 4-light window with mullions. Middle section of C18, of 2 storeys in millstone grit, with circular window over modern door and canted bay of 2 storeys with 3 light, stone architraves, later glazing bars. Right-hand portion of later C18 is lower with 1 over 2 windows, stone architraves. Modern extension to rear. Barn has been demolished.
