7/118 Coach-house approx. 10m north of No 10 (The Old Vicarage)
GV II
Coach-house. Late C18. Hammer-dressed stone, stone slate roof. Faces courtyard. 2 storeys, 4 bays. Doorways to single cells at either end. That to left has chamfered surround, that to right probably later insertion with window to right. To right of centre elliptical-arched carriage entry has tie-stone jambs and square window above with horizontal 8-pane sash and plain stone surround. Windows either side on 1st floor blocked. Coped gables with kneelers.
Interior: outer bays floored, possibly for servants' accommodation, 1st bay has large stop-chamfered spine beams and floor joists. Fish-bone king-post truss above and 2 other principal rafter trusses with tie beams and collars.
