House. Initialled and dated " R V 1684 " with early C19 alteration. Hammer-dressed stone, stone slate roof. 2 storeys. 2-cell direct- entry plan, double-depth. 1st cell has 2-light flat-faced mullioned window to left. C17 gabled porch to right with plinth, open doorway with dated and limed cyma-moulded surround and coped gable with kneelers. Inner doorway has basket-arched lintel and chamfered surround. 2nd cell, housebody, has 5-light double-chamfered mullioned window and 2-light fire-window under dripmould. 1st floor has 3 single-light windows with plain-stone surrounds. Coped gables with kneelers. Ridge stack to left gable. Right gable has large external stack with many offsets. Rear has 3-light double-chamfered mullioned window to left of outshut partly buried in ground (probably to cellar). To right of outshut former cross-window lacking mullions (stair-window). 3-light flat- faced mullioned window to right with 2 single-light windows above. Right- hand return has 3-light stepped double-chamfered mullioned window with arched central light, an early version of a Venetian window.
