Insurance office (1905: West of Scotland Fire insurance). Late C19, altered. Red sandstone to ground floor, red brick with red sandstone dressings above. Eclectic Scottish Jacobean style. Three-storey 3-bay facade with narrow centre and wide outer gables; moulded segmental-headed doorway with gabled canopy on brackets, large rectangular windows either side (except left end which has short window over basement door, all with raked sills and ornamented margins ornamented band over 1st floor, 3-sided shafts to upper floors finished with domed finials; mullion-and-transom windows at 1st floor (8, 4 and 8 lights, the centre bowed slightly), blind arcaded band over; five 2-light mullioned windows at 2nd floor, all sashed; small-panel decoration to gables.
