GV II

Coastguard's house now private dwelling. Mid C19. Cement render and scored stucco with ashlar sandstone dressings, graduated slate roof. 2 storeys, 3 bays. Chamfered plinth; cement quoins on right. Central feature has raised ashlar doorcase with pilasters, frieze panel and cornice on consoles that are repeated in profile to each side; above is a sunken apron to shell niche beneath archivolt on consoles. Large, 3-light windows to ground floor have quoined, ovolo-moulded surrounds to C20 casements beneath cornices (stone mullions and transoms removed). Short 3-light windows to 1st floor have matching surrounds without cornices (mullions removed) and are set in gabled half-dormers. Shaped kneelers and moulded gable copings to the dormers and end gables. Large end stack on left.
