Two town houses, now offices. 1799. By George Richards, builder, but rebuilt in facsimile c1970. Reconstituted stone ashlar, roof hidden by parapet. Plan remodelled when rebuilt but retains carriageway on the right. 3 storeys; overall 7-window range; symmetrical 3-window front to No.74 (left) has window in place of central doorway; No.75 has regular 4-window front with replica doorcase on the left; and original elliptical-arched carriage doorway with granite dressings, on the right; original chamfered granite quoins. Both fronts have first-floor sill strings, moulded cornices to parapets and horned sashes with glazing bars. INTERIOR not inspected. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: original wrought-iron railings with spear-headed finials and turned stanchions. No.75 was listed on 8.1.71.
