Pair of houses in row. Mid C19. Brick with granite dressings and freestone rustications; dry Delabole slate roof with projecting eaves at the front; deep brick chimneys over the cross party walls. Pair of mirror-image-plan houses with parallel entrance halls, in the centre; each house has a reception room at the front and service rooms behind. 2 storeys over basement; 4-window range. Symmetrical front with doorways in the centre. Stucco quoins and rustications around the openings; tripartite windows at left and right; all window openings are spanned by segmental arches; brackets under the sills; original hornless sashes. INTERIORS not inspected. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: shallow basement forecourts have front retaining walls which are surmounted by iron railings with arrowhead finials.
