Row of 4 cottages. Probably earlier C18, in 2 builds; altered. Coursed sandstone rubble, stone slate roofs, brick chimneys. Probably double-depth, all single-fronted. Nos 47 & 49 are 2-storeyed with attics, Nos 51 & 53 are 2-storeyed, all have one window at 1st floor, and there is a vertical joint between the 2 elements. All have doorways to the left, with wooden doorcases and restored board doors. Nos 47 & 49 each have one 3-light stone mullioned window on each floor, including low gabled dormers to the attic, all with slightly recessed chamfered mullions and those at ground and 1st floors with drip-bands over them. No.51 has a 3-light casement on each floor, No.53 has similar casements of 2 lights at ground floor and 3 lights above, all these windows of similar proportions to those of Nos 47 & 49 and with similar drip-bands.
