Farmhouse with workshop wing to rear, now 2 dwellings. Mid C18, altered and recently restored. Coursed squared sandstone with quoins, composition tile roof, brick chimneys. Rectangular double-depth double-fronted plan with former workshop attached to rear of right-hand side. Two storeys with cellar and attic, 3 windows, symmetrical; central doorway with restored fluted pilastered surround, panelled door and 3-pane overlight; 12-pane top-hung casement windows imitating sashes, all with raised sills and those at ground floor with lintels which have raised keystones. 2 ridge chimneys. INTERIOR: stairwell with timber-framed partition walls, dogleg staircase with open string, scrolled brackets, slender turned balusters and ramped moulded handrail; fielded-panel doors, 3 at ground floor with large HL hinges. Alma Hill Cottage to the rear is a single-depth 2-unit gabled wing of 2 low storeys, the upper floor taller than the lower, now with a C20 flat-roofed brick kitchen built in the angle, one enlarged window to the left and 2 windows above, all with C20 small-paned glazing. INTERIOR: 2 chamfered beams.
