House, now office. Late C18. Brick with stone dressings; parapeted roof. Double-depth plan. 3 storeys; 5-window range. 1st floor sill band and top fluted frieze with paterae, cornice and parapet. Windows have rubbed brick flat arches, those to ground and 1st floors with 4-pane horned sashes; 9-pane sashes to 2nd floor; round-headed central entrance has Doric aedicule with lotus capitals, Doric entablature with paterae and triglyphs, and pediment; fanlight with decorative glazing bars and 6-panel door; steps with iron railings. 2-bay return to St John's Square is similar; projecting 2-storey pedimented bay has round-arched recess and impost band to ground floor, 1st floor sill band; round-headed entrance with fanlight; 1st floor round-headed window with archivolt and sash with glazing bars. Rear has plastered gabled wings. INTERIOR has stair with stick balusters and wreathed handrail; room to left has rich cornice and Adam-style fireplace.
