Shop, now amusement arcade. 1870s. Stucco with ashlar dressings; parapeted roof. Italianate style. 4 storeys; single window range to Queen Square; 5-window range to Exchange Street has ends and centre breaking forward; recessed curved corners. Ground floor has C20 shop front based on original; 1st floor has string course and consoled projections over bold flower motifs; 2nd floor has sill course and platt band over; panelled pilaster strips to 2nd and 3rd floors; top frieze and cornice with parapet. Shop front has round-headed windows between panelled piers, frieze and cornice over; 1st floor has window with 3 round-headed lights and slender colonnettes; 2nd floor has window with consoled pediment over 4-pane horned sash; 3rd floor has architraved window with 4-pane horned sash. Angle has architraved windows with bowed sashes, that to 2nd floor round-headed. Return to Exchange Street similar, bays breakng forward have details as front, but centre has paired round-headed windows to 2nd floor; other bays as to corner; some blind windows. Rear similar but simpler. Included for group value.
