2 shops. Early C19. Stucco; tile roof with brick stack. 3 storeys; 7-window range. Top cornice; flat pilaster to right of 4th bay. Mid C19 and C20 shop fronts to ground floor; that to 1st 2 bays (No.27) has mid C19 consoled cornice, plate-glass window and recessed entrance with half-glazed door behind gate, returns to window and entrance have mirrors. 1st floor has windows with rusticated wedge lintels and fluted keystones; windows to 1st and 2nd floors have 4-pane sashes with horns; those to 5th to 7th bays are lower, the 2nd floor windows being larger. Cross-axial stack. INTERIOR of No 27 has original fittings including gas lamps and shelves, a rare survival. No 28 has cornices taken round beams; 1st floor has staircase with column-on-vase balusters.
