II

House. 1758; early to mid C19 alterations and additions. Stuccoed brick with parapeted roof. Double-depth plan with central stair to front range. Mid Georgian style. 3 storeys; symmetrical 3-window range. Ground floor has cornice and end quoin strips; 1st floor has entablature and shaped parapet with panels and acroteria over panelled pilasters. Ground floor has windows with flat pilasters, entablatures and consoles to tripartite sashes; 1st floor has shouldered architraves and consoled cornices to windows with casements; 2nd floor has windows with architraves, those to ends with eared architraves, and casements. Entrance has Tuscan porch and half-glazed door. Small wing to right has casement windows. Return lateral stacks. Rear has 3 elliptical-headed French windows to left; bay with rounded angles to right. INTERIOR: front rooms with cornices and C18 fireplaces; room to right has 2 Adam-style pedimented doorcases; stair has enriched cast-iron balusters and wreathed handrail.
