GV II

Terrace of 3 houses, now offices. c1850. Stucco with ashlar dressings; hipped slate roof. Double-depth plan. 3 storeys with basement; 6-window range. 1st floor sill band, 2nd floor Greek-key frieze with sill course, top frieze and dentilled cornice. Basement has varied openings, most altered; ground floor has tripartite windows in eared architraves with sashes, but No 3 has plate glass window; 1st floor has casement windows with friezes, consoled cornices and scrolled cresting with anthemions, those to No 3 with some leaded glazing, Nos 5 and 7 have cast-iron balcony; 2nd floor has 4-pane sashes in eared architraves with keystones. Round-headed entrances have panelled pilasters, archivolts and keystones. Basements have plain iron area railings and steps to entrances with solid parapets. 2 cross-axial stacks. Left return has returned 2nd floor frieze and sill band and top frieze and cornice, some sashed windows. INTERIOR not inspected.
