House. Late C18. Limestone ashlar and render, lateral stacks and a pantile hipped roof. Double-depth plan. Late Georgian style. 4 storeys; 7-window range. A symmetrical front has a first-floor sill band, cornice and parapet, and outer 3-storey 3-light bows. The doorway has attached Doric columns to a pediment, and half-glazed door, under a late C19 hipped timber porch. 6/6-pane sashes to the bows and windows over the door; 4th-floor Venetian windows with interlacing heads over the bows. The left return has a canted first-floor oriel, and right-hand 6/6-pane sash in a flush frame. INTERIOR not inspected but reported as having a central hall with rear dogleg stair, and panelled front rooms. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: attached rubble retaining wall extends for approx 40m to the NW, a doorway with Gibbs surround, Pennant steps and wrought-iron railings.
