House. Dated 1809 by owner. Limestone ashlar with lateral stack, roof not visible. Double-depth plan. 3 storey, attic, basement and cellar; 1-bay range. A symmetrical front with a right-hand single-storey porch, pilaster strips to a cornice, and shallow pedimented parapet between end blocks with Greek Revival-style incised decoration, and wrought-iron railing with stylised leafs. The porch has an open, keyed semicircular arch with chamfered reveals, cornice and balustrade pierced by oval openings; 2 recessed C20 doors. 2-storey canted bay has cornice and sill blocks, with 6/6-pane and flanking 2/2-pane sashes; 4/8-pane second-floor sash. Rear elevation of 4 storeys with a 3-storey bow with curved sashes to the upper floors. INTERIOR: C20 stair to the upstairs flat, originally a central lateral stair; good rear ground-floor yellow marble fire surround with white marble relief panels; flagged cellar with exposed rock surface to the front. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: attached front garden wrought-iron railings and gates to Pennant piers with scrolled bracket caps.
