GV II

Engine house and chimney. c1840. For Bristol and Clifton Oil Gas Company. Squared coursed Pennant rubble with rubble dressings and brick chimney. Rectangular plan. Single storey; 5-window range. Roofless; semicircular-arched openings, a large central doorway, narrow doorway to the left end, round gable windows, and a square brick chimney to the S. INTERIOR not inspected; derelict at time of survey. Part of the extension to the Bristol and Clifton Oil Gas Company's site of 1840. (Lord J and Southam J: The Floating Harbour: Bristol: 1983-: 97).
