GV II
Pair of attached houses. Late C18. Render with limestone dressings and a pantile roof. Double-depth plan. Late Georgian style. Each of 3 storeys, basement and attic; 2-window range. Rusticated ground floor with pilasters to a cornice, a parapet to No.13, and raised attic storey to No.12. Right-hand doorways have consoles to a pediment, moulded keyed semicircular arches, fanlights and 6-panel doors; canted bays overhang the basement areas, 1 storey to No.12, 2 storeys to No.13, with 8/8-pane flanked by 6/6-pane sashes; 8/8-pane sashes to upper windows. INTERIOR not inspected, but noted as having dogleg stairs with stick balusters, to the front of the house. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: good spear-headed front area wrought-iron railings and gates with urn finials.
