Shops and dwellings. Early C18 encasement of C17 timber-frame. Brick; timber-frame; old plain tiles; brick ridge stack to right; brick stacks to rear. 2 unit plan. 3-storeys, attic and cellar; 2-window range: 6/6 sashes (to left in moulded case) under gauged brick flat arches, with central blocked opening under gauged brick semi-circular arch. Right-hand unit has 6/6 sash under gauged brick flat arch, with 6/6 sash over; left-hand unit has 6/6 sash in moulded case under gauged brick flat arch; central blocked opening; moulded and modillioned wood eaves. Central passageway to Quality Square, with timber lintel and posts. To left, early C19 shopfront, with part-glazed panelled door and overlight to right, and canted bay with glazing bars and tapered shafts, on chamfered brackets, to left; all under moulded cornice. To right, C20 door, overlight, glazing and stallboard, in earlier shopfront. Passageway to rear has exposed box framing with brick infill and moulded plates, on both sides; spurstones; C20 leaded light to right. Rear opening shows added lintel, with string course over. Rear elevation has various lights and casements, with some C18 leaded lights to left; central blocked openings; wide gable dormer with tripartite window; outshut with plank door in chamfered case to right.
