Denmor House
GV II
Town house. c1870s. Polychrome coursed rubble and dressed
stone front with granite plinth, ground floor sill aprons and
moulded 1st-floor freestone sill string broken forward over
granite brackets; stepped Delabole slate roof with stone and
brick stack on right; glazed ridge tiles and moulded eaves
cornice. Double-depth plan. 2 storeys; 3-window range.
Elliptical keyed arches over 4-pane horned sashes and doorway
on left with probable nook shafts removed; original 4-panel
door and 2-pane overlight with moulded transom linked to
moulded impost string; aprons of 1st floor windows with
nowy-headed blind arcades over moulded string. INTERIOR not
inspected. A similar, although less elaborate, polychromatic
style to Forester's Hall, Pike Street (qv), and Masonic Hall,
The Parade (qv). Included for group value.
