Suburban villa. Mid C19. Probably by Henry Rice. Stucco on masonry with giant pilasters incised with key pattern and plat bands; rag slate hipped L-plan roof with moulded cornice under deep eaves soffit and cast-iron ogee gutters. L-shaped plan with canted entrance porch to inner angle. 2 storeys. Inner angle garden front is 3-window 1:1:1-bay range with central later C19 three-light slate-roofed entrance porch with margin panes rising to ogee tracery to round-headed lights; otherwise original hornless sashes with glazing bars except for late C19 canted bay to ground floor right-hand return: in recessed panels with round fanlight heads to ground floor and 12-pane sashes within eared architraves to 1st floor. INTERIOR not inspected but likely to be of interest. (Pearce D: Henry Rice Archive).
