Details
PARISH OF TICKNALL THE GREEN SK 32 SW 3/84 (West Side) 16-1-84 No 4 (White Cottage) and No 5 II House, now a pair of cottages. C17 and C19. Coursed rubble, timber frame, brick and render. Plain tile roof with ridge and gable stacks. Painted brick bays at each end with dentil eaves cornices. Two storeys. Four bay east elevation, the two centre bays rendered and terminated by pilaster strips. Central doorway with flat arch and plank door. C20 gabled wooden porch. Flanked by flat arched 3-light casement windows. To the left again a flat arched doorway with plank door and C20 gabled wooden porch. Two 2-light casements above. Brick bay to left has a single light window to first floor. Brick bay to right has a small square window to ground floor and a single light window above. Interior has exposed chamfered beams and stud partitions, and an inglenook fireplace.
