Details

BLENHEIM SP4416NW 9/36 Wall attached to and E of Woodstock Gate GV II Wall. Probably c.1723 by Nicholas Hawksmoor. Squared and coursed limestone with ashlar coping. L-shaped, of approximately 5 x 5 metres; central ashlar pier has moulded entablature. (Blenheim Park is included in the HBMC Register of Parks and Gardens at Grade I; K. Downes: Hawksmoor, 1959, p282)
