Garage. c1898. Perhaps by Drake and Pizey. Red brick with orange rubbed brick and limestone dressings, roof not visible. Single-depth plan. Edwardian Baroque style. Single-storey; 3-bay range. A symmetrical facade is articulated by brick pilasters with ashlar plinths, banded stone and rubbed brick below acanthus capitals. Wide, open segmental arches with alternate stone and rubbed brick voussoirs, flank a narrow doorway set in ashlar, beneath an elaborate carved cartouche with rocaille, a cornice, and oculus with brick and stone voussoirs, split key, and gabled label. Full-width banded entablature, cornice and parapet, with a large central segmental pediment with 5 moulded voussoirs; ashlar dies over the pilasters with 4 good carved ball finials. INTERIOR: open-plan show room and garage. A decorative early garage front, and a very early example of the building type.
